Helen works as a freelance literary editor for Freight Books and Cargo Publishing. She is the co-founding editor of Fractured West and review editor of Gutter, and from 2007-2008 she was editor of From Glasgow to Saturn.
Helen offers an on-line editorial service for writers, providing a line-by-line edit, written comments and editorial suggestions for the work:

Helen also offers face-to-face editorial and literary consultancy. Tailored to each individual's requirements, this service includes a detailed line-by-line edit, structural comments and technical suggestion, a full written report and a series of meetings with the author.

From Glasgow to Saturn is the online magazine of the University of Glasgow's MLitt in Creative Writing. Co-edited by Helen from 2007-2008, FGTS is currently on its 21st issue.
